About Me
Hi, I’m Shamel.
Eight months ago, I hit reset on my life. After years of running on survival mode, I chose to start over. Since then, the road has been slow and messy. I’m a single mom, building from scratch while navigating ADHD and mental illness. Some days it feels like two steps forward, one step back, but it’s still forward.
For a long time, I felt ashamed for starting things and not finishing them. From the outside, it looked flaky. But I’ve realized my brain doesn’t move in straight lines. It moves like a puzzle. Every unfinished project is a breadcrumb, a piece that often comes back later as part of something bigger.
This blog is where I share those breadcrumbs. It’s my lab for learning in public: the Notes I write, the TILs I jot down, the Experiments I run, and the projects I’ve paused. By putting it all here, I’m creating a trail, for myself and for anyone else who needs to see that progress doesn’t have to be linear to be real.
PGQ: The System I Live In
PGQ is no longer just an idea I had all those months ago; it’s the system I live in and the lens I see the world through. It’s how I make sense of ADHD, capacity, self-states, identity shifts, and the messy, nonlinear process of change.
I’m building PGQ out in public: integrating it into my apps, my writing, my parenting, and my own day-to-day loops. It isn’t something I “apply” once in a while; it’s how I move through the world now.
If you want the full story, read my PGQ Manifesto.
My Current Experiment
I turn 49 in a few months. By 50, I want to see if I can become a millionaire.
But this isn’t just about money. It’s about whether I can unlearn old survival patterns, rebuild systems that actually work for me, and create enough value through my work that the outcome is wealth and freedom.
So the experiment is this: Can I change enough to become a millionaire by 50?
This site is where I’ll document the attempt, through breadcrumbs, notes, and live experiments.
✨ This isn’t a finished story. It’s a trail. Slow going, yes, but forward all the same.
